In previous versions of the Corporate Modeler Suite it was difficult to move between shared network models and your private models easily. Corporate Modeler 10.1 allows you to select the database you want to connect to (and therefore the model data you want to see) each time you log on, and even to log on for a single process as a different user, or to a different database.
Log on following the normal instructions, changing the database you want to connect to using the Database drop-down list (your local database will be referred to as "stand-alone" in this list).
If you want to add a database to this list (for selection), change the contents of this list, or even change the database selected by default:
If you are already logged on but you want to log on again as a different user to run one process (for example, you want to run Model Explorer as an administrator to create a new user but then want to return to your previous logon as a Normal User).
Click Start > Programs > Corporate Modeler Suite > Start Here.
Hold down the shift key and double-click any one of the program icons.
The Logon Dialog opens.
Enter your user name.
Enter your password.
If the user name and password is also used by Windows, enter your Domain.
Optionally, select a database to connect to.
Click OK.
