Some Connector Properties have been replaced by Categories
In Corporate Modeler 9 different "Types" of connector presented different dialogs. For example, a Process Dynamics Connector had a property defining whether it represented a Mandatory or Optional path, and a Data Flow Connector had a property defining if it represented a Physical or Logical flow of data.
In order to make the software more usable, these properties have all been migrated to become Categories in Corporate Modeler 10.
The new connector categories are:
- Optional - Represents a path in a Process Dynamics diagram that can be followed optionally (that does not need to complete
for the job to finish).
- Mandatory - Represents a path in a Process Dynamics diagram that must be followed for the job to finish.
- Logical - Represents a one-way movement of data in a Data Flow diagram that describes data movement as a user would understand it.
- Physical - Represents a one-way movement of data in a Data Flow diagram that describes data movement as it actually occurs.
- Logical Bidirectional - As Logical, but this movement can pass in either direction along the connector.
- Physical Bidirectional - As Physical, but this movement can pass in either direction along the connector.
Notes
- For the purposes of simulation, connectors that are involved with an XOR Connector Set object and have a % split value must have the category "Optional".
- Connectors which previously had a property defining them as Optional, Physical, etc. will be upgraded to use the new connector categories in Corporate Modeler 10.
