The Casewise Portal is a complementary module to the Corporate Modeler Suite . Based on the latest Internet technologies, the Portal offers user’s direct access to the Corporate Modeler Extensible Repository via a web browser ensuring total architectural alignment with Corporate Modeler.
The Portal, opens the content of the Corporate Modeler repository to your entire enterprise and reveals the connection of information, people, systems and devices through one direct source. In turn, the Portal allows you to publish this information to different audiences in a multitude of different ways.
The Portal offers two different ways of viewing the information contained within the repository. The first provides your entire enterprise with readable, unauthenticated access. The second, via a password protected mechanism, allows analysts and architects secure access to update the information and data held within the repository in real time. The Portal supports both existing Corporate Modeler and Windows authentication.
The Portal accesses your Corporate Modeler repository dynamically, reflecting the current state of your models instantaneously across the enterprise. There are no lengthy publication steps or costly overnight builds to be performed eliminating the need to base decisions on old or out of date information allowing the owner of the data secure access.
The Portal business tier is exposed via Web Services which can be leveraged by the customer to create, read update and delete Corporate Modeler objects and associations. Portal Web Services empower users to construct bespoke applications related to Corporate Modeler within their organization. Web Services also play an integral part in deploying Corporate Modeler and the Casewise Portal within a Service Oriented Architecture. Furthermore, Casewise utilizes these Web Services when integrating our BPMS solution Corporate Synergy with the Casewise repository.
Using a blend of proven techniques combined with the latest Microsoft technologies the Portal is implemented as a multi tier solution. With the addition of Microsoft Ajax, the Portal architecture allows for total scalability.
One of the main advantages of the Casewise Portal is its capacity to intuitively bring information forward, without any training required. This ease of use offers users more accurate and detailed information as well as functionality and versatility.
Security Configuration
The Portal offers flexible configuration for data access via a read-only facility for public information, or securely via authenticated access rights. In addition, the Portal supports both existing Corporate Modeler user names and passwords or Windows integrated authentication using directory services or LDAP.
The Portal with Tasks
The Portal with Tasks is a separately licensed module allowing users to collaborate on model content. Users can assign Corporate Modeler objects to one another and take those tasks through an approval cycle. Tasks are performed with direct access to the Corporate Modeler objects associated to them. A task management module then emails all parties involved in the task informing them of status changes.
